The Similarities of Inception and Shutter Island?

This was weird because I just watched Inception and I said I feel like I am watching Shutter Island again. I liked Shutter Island better. It was easier to wrap my head around that concept and I really liked the ending. Inception was just a bit too abstract for me - I do think he was in reality at the end of the movie though.
