Blind date, but the girl I like wants to come. Why?

I like this girl named Val and she knows how I feel about her. We hung out a couple of times and had dinner with just us. I did not say that it was a "date", but she knew about my feelings before hanging out with just me. Anyways, my friend set me up on a blind date with this girl with some friends, so I told Val about my blind date. She told me she wants to come along, and asked me if she could. Why?
