After watching a show about gangs on the history channel........why are drugs still illegal?

Yup.. the war on drugs is completely ridiculous. If drugs were legalized, the crime ociated with drugs would drop sharply. Unless you think that we're somehow going to win the war on drugs by putting everyone who does or sells drugs in jail, it's ridiculous to think this policy is great and we should continue as is.
