Windows vista home premium?

hey i recently brought Acer laptop with 2gb memory and it came with Vista home premium installed..now it is my first time vista use.. i can not find run, add remove and few other applications which were in XP prof..does vista doesnt have these features and if not how do i unistall a prog which i might install?
