Is it possible to freeze to death in room temperature?

okay...one of my friends claims that he heard that this guy froze to death in room temperature. he says that his brain seriously thought it was freezing and so he froze to death. also claims that the autopsy says he died of hypothermia...can someone send me the link to this or is my friend a complete idiot?
