Do any of you sympathize with the South (American Civil War)?

I sympathize with the south mainly because my great-great grandfather fought for what he felt was right. There were many in the south that felt slavery was going to die on his own. Even though party politics, expansionism, sectionalism, economics and modernization in the Antebellum Period were major causes, Expansion of Slavery was a major reason why Lincoln was elected. Lincoln believed that slavery was going to die off naturally. He strongly opposes the expansion of slavery.
